If you are a control freak like me, you are probably going to have a nervous breakdown at some point leading up to your wedding. You are going to have no control over the interpersonal interactions that will happen at your wedding; make a conscious decision to let go. The day before my wedding, I lost it. It was mainly because my mother-in-law said something about how my mother should have done something, and I understood that I would not be able to be the social buffer that I usually am at family gatherings. All these people would be in one place, and I would have no control over what happened. My mother had to sit me down and tell me very firmly that people would look after themselves, and I had to let go or I would have a horrible time.

Don't focus on what the wedding should be like; focus on what the marriage should be like. Wedding logistics take a lot of time, but talking about your future is so much more essential.

Don't get a kitten two weeks before your wedding: My fianc?e pulled that one. We already had a dog, and then she came home with this kitten. So for several nights leading up to the wedding we got approximately two hours of sleep while the dog chased the kitten, or the kitten attacked our feet. We had the kitten on a trial run, thankfully, so we gave it back and it found a home with people who didn't need as much sleep as we did and weren't planning the biggest day of their lives.

Don't neglect your spouse-to-be. Make sure you remember that the two of you are still in a relationship. Make those special dinners, clean the house, buy her flowers ? treat her as if you just started dating. Doing so will relax her and get you to your wedding.
