Coach says LB Dorian Hendrix doing all he can to help Kentucky recruiting

By LARRY VAUGHT Lakota West (Ohio) Coach Larry Cox says there is ?no question? that running back Mikel Horton is recruiting others to join him at Kentucky. The 6-1, 225-pound linebacker from West Chester, Ohio, was one of the first to join UK?s 2014 recruiting class and Cox thinks he?s been instrumental in the success UK has had recruiting. ?These kids that have committed to Kentucky have done a fantastic job of expanding Kentucky?s recuriting base. They have done a great job of promoting the program,? Cox said. ?Kentucky just has so much momentum going its way. They are swinging the hot bat. They are to college football what Joey Votto is to the Cincinnati Reds. They are swinging the hot bat and everybody wants to jump on board. ?They have got commits and now they have to make sure they sign on. (Rival) Coaches don?t quit recruiting. In my case, schools may come in wanting to see or talk to Mikel, but I don?t allow it. I don?t know if it is the same way everywhere you go. Once they get into summer all bets are off. You never know what can happen in the summer. But in my case, Mikel has no chance. I keep them busy.? Horton, who has been selected to play in the Semper Fidelis All-American game in Anaheim, Calif., in January, certainly could have an impact on junior teammate C.J.
