1) What is your budget? $900 (Anything above that will come from my own pocket so I'm willing to go up a little, but not a whole lot.) 2) What size notebook would you prefer? Thin and Light; 13" - 14" screen Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen 3) Where will you buying this notebook? USA 4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like? a. Like: Asus b. Dislike: MSI 5) Would you consider laptops that are refurbished/redistributed? Probably not 6) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook? Writing papers, web browsing, moderate gaming 7) Will you be taking the notebook with you to different places, leaving it on your desk or both? Both. 8) Will you be playing games on your notebook? If so, please state which games or types of games? Definitely some, but as this will be my first year at College and the first time with a laptop that can run post-2005 games (:p), I'm not sure how much of a priority it'll be yet. However, I do want to be able to run games from the Total War series (Shogun 2, Rome 2, and the next installment) and possibly an RPG like Skyrim on at least medium/high settings (higher is obviously better). 9) How many hours of battery life do you need? 4-6 10) Would you prefer to see the notebooks you're considering before purchasing it or buying a notebook on-line without seeing it is OK?
